Pastor Adewale Giwa of the Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will be better off as Nigeria’s president for the 3rd term than Bola Tinubu as president in 2023.

The clergyman condemned those clamouring for the former Lagos State governor to succeed the incumbent president.

Naija News understands that there were reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain is keen on succeeding Buhari comes 2023.

However, speaking during a service in his church headquarters in Akure, Ondo State, Giwa stated that Tinubu’s leadership would only worsen Nigeria situation.

According to him, the APC leader would do no good for Nigeria, adding that “better the devil you know than the devil you don’t.” Giwa registered his disagreement with zoning the presidency to the South, noting that the move would only trigger a dangerous situation that might lead to “break up”.

He said: “Anybody asking the former governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to be the next president of Nigeria should rather support Buhari for a third term. What has Tinubu done to deserve being the next President of Nigeria?

“You must be a fool if you continue to campaign for a man who has worked only for himself. When Fulani herdsmen were slaughtering farmers, where was Tinubu? When President Buhari increased electricity tariff and jerked up the price of petrol, what did Tinubu say?

“He has never seen anything bad that this administration has done to Nigerians since 2015. Tinubu’s presidency will only worsen the poor leadership Nigerians are currently witnessing, and it will not do us anything positive”.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s new year address lack strategy direction, Naija News reports.
